CAFRAD DELEGATION VISITS THE EMBASSY OF TOGO IN THE KINGDOM OF MOROCCO IN RABAT

The new Director General to conquer the Member States!

As part of the deployment of his vision for CAFRAD in the service of the global, digital and intelligent transformation of African public and private administrations, the new Director General of CAFRAD, Dr. Coffi Dieudonné ASSOUVI began an educational tour of the Embassies of CAFRAD Member States in Rabat, in the Kingdom of Morocco. The goal is to encourage their support for the roadmap and innovative projects for the Pan-African Intergovernmental Organization in terms of training, research & development, documentation (Benchmarking), publication and consulting on postmodern issues of public action in a context of porosity in the public and private sectors.

This highly appreciated approach is part of the implementation of a participatory and inclusive management, as well as the transformational leadership of the new Director General. As a reminder, the new Director General was elected on July 9, 2024 by the 59th Board Session following a very rigorous selection process involving 19 candidates from 13 member countries.

Dr. ASSOUVI was received in audience on Thursday, October 24, 2024 by Mr. Messan Amakoé KLUTSE, charge d’affaires a.i. of the Embassy of the Togolese Republic to the Kingdom of Morocco in Rabat. The Director General was accompanied by a delegation composed of the Head of Protocol Mr. Aziz BEN DOUKALI, the Assistant to the Director General, Ms. Hasnaa EDDAALITI, and the Communications Officer, Ms. Basma BOUZIANI. Mr. KLUTSE was assisted for the occasion by Mr. WINEGUE Kangayo Robert, First Advisor.

In his capacity as representative of Togo, His Excellency, Mr. Chargé d’Affaires, a.i. confirmed his country’s commitment to supporting the vision of the Director General of CAFRAD, which he also considers ambitious for CAFRAD and the Member States.

He was very interested in creating new cooperation opportunities between CAFRAD and Togo, based on the new dynamics of CAFRAD and the ambitious reform program proposed by the Director General.

The constructive exchanges between CAFRAD and the Togolese Embassy focused on the importance of raising awareness in countries about the ambitious projects carried out by CAFRAD, in particular through a tour of the Director General in the Member States, the strengthening of capacities of senior civil servants in terms of training responding to global challenges, or the training of senior executives of Embassies in the professions of new diplomacy and governance, focused on results and performance, geopolitics and reconfigurations of order ongoing global crisis, human security, the creation of intelligent infrastructures, etc.

By proving his interest in the approach and the excellence of the relations between his country and CAFRAD, the Chargé d’Affaires a.i took the opportunity to invite the Director General to a conference that the Embassy is organizing on October 30, 2024, at Rabat.

The audience ended with a visit to a cultural gallery on Togo’s artistic and literary works and Mr. KLUTSE’s confirmation of his predisposition to facilitate the implementation of visibility actions at CAFRAD in Togo.
